Since 1917, La Jolla Tennis Club has brought people together through a shared love of tennis, lasting friendships, and a strong sense of community. Now, it’s our turn to invest in the club’s future.
Our clubhouse has served LJTC for decades, but it’s time for a much-needed renovation and expansion to better serve our members and the broader tennis community for generations to come.
The project is estimated to cost $800,000. LJTC is committing $250,000 from club resources, and we’re asking our community to help raise the remaining $450,000 through our capital campaign.

A Clubhouse That’s Ready for the Future
Our clubhouse is an important part of the LJTC experience, but after decades of service, it needs significant improvements. Our plan is to restore the original building and expand it to create a more comfortable, functional space for the people who make our club special.
Restore and Renew the Original Clubhouse
The original clubhouse has served LJTC for decades, but time has taken its toll. The deteriorating roof, termite damage, and inoperable windows need attention. Renovating the existing structure will help protect our investment and give this well-loved building a new lease on life.
Create More Space for Our Community
We plan to add approximately 1,000 square feet to the existing 500-square-foot building, creating much-needed space to better support the club’s daily operations and serve our members.
Make the Clubhouse More Comfortable and Welcoming
The project will address essential needs that have long been missing, including heating and air conditioning, functioning windows, a dedicated member lounge, and much-needed restrooms. These improvements will make the clubhouse more useful, comfortable, and welcoming.
